This video demonstrates a cool move on synthetic ice by the science author M. Schottenbauer, Ph.D. The technique was demonstrated on a small piece (8' x 8') of synthetic ice (HDPE Plastic). HDPE is a low-glide synthetic ice which is well-suited to beginners. By using a low-glide surface, beginners can safely practice basic spin technique with less falling. US Plastics Corporation sells the HDPE plastic (synthetic ice) used in this video (3/16" x 48" x 96") at: http://www.usplastic.com/catalog/item.aspx?itemid=41933&catid=705
