Nordic Athletes Give Speed Skating a Try

Due to the minimal snow these days in Utah, the Park City Speedskating Club offered a 'try out' session for the Park City Nordic Ski Club. About 20 kids between 10-14 years joined the PCSSC kids on Monday evening to get the gliding feeling without the snow. Mike Kooreman, KD Todd and Marion Wohlrab ensured a fun, skill teaching session for the xc skiers and it gave the Nordic coaches a great sense of how to utilize speedskating as a cross training tool. Thanks to the Utah Olympic Oval who provided their rental speedskates for use to make it a great experience for the nordic skiers, and the Park City club for sharing their ice time.
